Who are the sellers on this platform?
The Musical Instrument makers on Zumzound are independent craftsmen and artisans from around the world. They build unique musical instruments—both traditional and modern—that are often not found in mainstream music stores. We’re working to create the world’s richest collection of handcrafted instruments by supporting local talent and regional traditions.
Can I contact the craftsmen directly?
Yes. You can send a private message to any craftsman using the Contact button on their profile. They will respond to you directly.
How do I know the instrument is authentic?
We work only with verified instrument makers. Each craftsman undergoes a background check by the Zumzound team to ensure authenticity, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship.
What payment methods are accepted?
Currently, all purchases are processed through Stripe, a secure international payment platform. You’ll need a valid bank card (debit or credit) to make a purchase.
Is international shipping available?
Yes, but shipping is handled by each individual craftsman. As shipping policies may vary, please check the FAQ section on the craftsman’s profile for details.
Can I return an item?
Return policies are determined by each craftsman. We encourage all sellers to follow EU consumer protection guidelines. For accurate information, please refer to the FAQ section on the seller’s profile.
How long does shipping usually take within the EU?
Delivery time depends on the location of the craftsman and their chosen shipping method. Visit the seller’s FAQ page for specific details on shipping and estimated delivery times.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a trusted global payment platform used by millions of businesses. Your financial data is encrypted and never shared with sellers or third parties.

How do I join Zumzound as a seller?
Simply go to the Become a Craftsman page and click Join(Register). Fill out the registration form, and your application will be reviewed by the Zumzound team. Once approved, you’ll gain access to your seller dashboard.
What kind of items can I sell?
You can sell any kind of handcrafted musical instrument, accessories, spare parts, or other musical instrument-related items.
Are there any fees or commissions?
Yes. There is a combined transaction and platform fee of 5.25%, plus a €0.25 fixed transfer fee per payout. Zumzound also charges a 5.75% sales commission. There are no listing fees or subscription costs.
Do I need to be based in the EU to sell?
No. Sellers from all over the world are welcome. However, you are responsible for complying with your local tax laws and business regulations.
How do payments and payouts work?
In the first week of the following month, you will receive a payout for all completed orders directly to your bank account. Please make sure to add your bank account information in the Craftsmen Dashboard under Profile > Payment Details.
Can I customize my seller profile or shop page?
Yes. We encourage you to personalize your About page, upload images, and clearly explain your policies on the FAQ page to help build buyer trust.
How do I handle returns or disputes?
If a return or dispute is raised, Zumzound will review the case. If a refund is warranted, we’ll process it on your behalf.
What support do you offer for new sellers?
We help you present your craft professionally, promote your work, and expand your reach through marketing tools and profile assistance.
Can I showcase my workshop or story?
Yes! Use your profile’s About section to upload photos and videos. Additionally, our Blog features selected makers and their stories.
Can I communicate directly with buyers?
Yes. After a purchase, you’ll see the buyer’s contact details (email and phone) so you can coordinate directly if needed.
