13-string Kurzeme kokle

Latvian folk traditional instrument. This kokle model has more strings and therefore the kokle has wider possibilities to play various compositions.
Can be used as a solo instrument, also fits well in a collective.

Typical tunings - sol, la, do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, do, re, mi, fa.
It is possible to tune each string two tones higher or lower.
The kokle has 13 strings, wooden pegs, a maple body and a spruce deck.
